In the year 1999, Maya returns to Waldstein Academy to attend her late Father (also Headmaster)'s funeral. This is no ordinary school though, as Waldstein is a school devoted to studies on paranormal disciplines; becoming known as the Occult Academy to many.
Maya however is a skeptic and hates the occult, and plans to supersede her Father's position in order to run the Academy into the ground.
Her plans are interupted by a man who desends from the sky, Fumiaki Uchida; an agent time traveller from the year 2012 sent to prevent an 'alien' invasion from another world from happening.
Uchida's mission is to find the 'Nostradamus Key' hidden within the academy that will prevent the end of the world and under Maya's watch; assumes the role of a history teacher. The episodes revolve around solving mysteries of occult nature around town, while Maya and Uchida work together to find the Nostradamus Key.
